    question...

    again with the questions....I know.

Got back from the vet a few days ago. Pandora looks as if she gained 300 Gr. but her back is peaked. (making a ^ shape)

The vet looked her over, felt for anything wrong, did stool sampels and today gave her a clean bill of health.

What could be making her look like this? This dose not look like the tipical "Building". She is chubby all over. She is eating one med. rat every week, the temps are normal, humidity is fine, she is drinking normaly, but she looks chubby and her back is peaked.

am I doing something wrong or is this just part of the breeding prossess?

    Thanks again

If the vet felt that she was healthy, and you don't then maybe you could seek a second opinion.

I'm also unsure what you are trying to describe. Maybe you could try to post a picture.

well her back bone is sticking out some what. The Vet said that this will be normal if I have been breeding her .... but I thought that was only when she was about ready to lay.

but other than that she is FAT! even her head is fatter

She didnt have the best life befor I got my hands on her, and she wasnt fed normaly. Every 3 to 4 weeks she was offered a mouse. She is now on med. rats every week and is traking them with out problems. She also seems to be a little more agressive. Striking at anyone who walks by her tub.

maybe I'm seeing things, and just being paranoyed. She just might be a normal female who is getting fed well and well cared for.

I have small rats compared to most rats you see in the pet stores. at adult size, they are a little bigger (with out the tail) than a Golden hamster. so my kind of med. rat is a small rat to you.
