I can understand the reason behind asking for a vet number, but the truth is most vets will not release info about clients even if the clients ok it. If a vet says "John Doe shouldn't have snakes, don't give it to him", the vet could be sued.

My vets (2 in one office) barely have time to talk to me when i take our dogs in for there shots lol.In my 9yrs i have had only 2 snakes ever needing to go to our vet.I think i would be more concerned about the adopters experiances with reptiles and how many years he/she has been keeping reptiles.
