New snake anxiety, anyone ever had?

Hi all! I just bought a pair of spiders, male and female, thanks for those who helped me decide! I sprung for both. Anyway, I am a little nervous about bringing these two home, because it is more than I have ever invested on any animal in my life! I am going to be nuts making sure these babies are taken care of. My other BP are doing great, but I am still concerned. Did anyone ever experience this anxiety bringing home a ball?

I was anxious basically every time I got a new snake, until it was settled in and had a successful feeding; then I cool off.
Gotta post some pics of those Spiders!

LMAO!!! Are you kidding? I just started into all of this and I just have one normal Ball. My wife thinks I'm OCD, my kids think I'm nuts, and my dog is wondering if he's going to get blamed for the worn path in the carpet that goes back and forth from the bedroom to the rest of the house. I now know more about relative humidity, and ambient temperature than most meteorologist, I can name at least 5 types of trees in 2 seconds because they make mulch from them, and I get less sleep now than when my daughter was born!
Yeah I think we all experience it to some degree or another. It just shows that you are concerned and care about the well being of your pet, and in your case, your investment as well.
I don't know if it gets any easier, but I'm loving every minute of it!

Ya I was like that getting our pied, especially when my dad said that the guy delivering the package was spinning it around and throwing it up in the air! If I was there I would have taken her out right in front of the guy, and see what his reaction was.

Yep I know I did. Just set them up nice and snug and try to let them rest. Don't let the kids hold them either. I made that mistake and my then 4yr old dropped my albino male! Maybe thats why he's slacking this year?

You didn't get told that with every new snake purchased you get a free case of raging OCD???? LOL

We have 14 snakes now (13 BPs, 1 Milk, 1 BCI) and I'm better about new snakes now but not by much. I still get ridiculously excited about every new snake, I still pace waiting for FedEx to show up, I still check on the new snakes constantly and every week on feeding night....I still get a huge thrill when they eat.

Thank goodness my husband and our 4 kids all share this same fascination with the snakes (though my oldest daughter who is 19 has taken to calling me "that crazy snake lovin mother of mine" lol).

Wait till you get you first snake nightmare! The house is one fire, I need to save my snakes! Or somebody didn't poop...why didn't they poop...will they ever poop...is it my fault they haven't pooped...okay they pooped...is this poop normal...should I ask at BPNet...will they require a photo....why is my spouse looking at me funny while I snap pics of snake turds???? It's breeding season....I'm more concerned about my snake's love life than my own!

Just a few of the fun moments of snakekeeping!
