I had to break the rules today, but not because I wanted to. The dang cats must have been able to unplug the surge protector that the thermostats and rheostats were plugged into while I was gone , meaning no heat. When I got home I found an unhappy Karma in a 70 degree F tank:eek: . The warmest thing I could think of was me so I pulled him out and let him wrap around my wrist until I got a warm water bottle ready and let him sit on that till the tank warmed up a little. Luckily since I have three different heating sources it only took about 5 minutes or so to get the whole tank to about 85*F and a set him back in. I feel so guilty for letting this happen. I can't imagine the stress it must have caused.
I'm going to have to buy some electirical tape and tape the surge protector to the outlet to make sure this doesn't happen again.
