New use of reptile shipping heat packs

I have found a new use for the heat packs that we use to ship reptiles in cool weather.Yesterday i attended a special hunt for the disabled and i took the remaining heat packs i have with me.Well i became cold after some time and opened a couple heat packs and attempted to warm me seat area lol.Well that idea flunked so i placed a heat pack inside each glove and i had very warm hands the rest of the day.Some people use those cheap handwarmer that die out after a short time,well our heat packs were still warm at 4pm tonight lol.So if you have to do any outside work and its cold place a heatpack in each glove and have warm hands lol.Just dont tell the manufactures or they will jackup the cost lol.Just incase someone wonders i missed a large doe by inches .The rest of the hunt was cancelled because of the snow .

joe, my car has seat warmers and let me tell you... they ROCK!!!

I do long rang shooting for fun and sport and you have to use fingertip gloves to get the two stage trigger to engage. The gloves I got from Gore tech have a pocket on the back of the hand to place those hand warmers. Real handy out in WY in the dead of winter when elk hunting.. LOL

Now Robin your a meany .I will tell you a little about the area we were hunting.Its a State Park and the only hunting in previous years were just Archery.Well the deer population has grown to large and they are eating everything in the whole area.So since more deer are taken during Firearm hunts they added this to the park to deplete the population.Its very common to see 40+ deer in a single feild.In some State parks in Illinois the deer ate everything to the roots and started dieing from starvation.They have even eaten chunks out of houses or barns looking for food.So if i am still around next year i will be attending this hunt once again.I hope to bag a deer or two and post the pics and of course i will show you them personaly .

Ed how long do those hand warmers last out in the cold? If i could have hunted today i could have used the same heat packs as yesterday lol.

I'm still rooting for the doe! Several of my co-worker's hunt, I have no problem with it, personally.

I know i was just messing with ya .O by the way if i would have shot her i could have taken this very large buck that passed by our stand a short time later .The whole idea was you had to take a doe first then get a either sex permit next.

Awww sorry you missed your doe. A nice big doe, especially a dry doe is good eating! I'd rather one of those any day over a buck (like my dad always said..."you can't eat the bloody rack!" lol)

It's great they are increasing the hunting on that population. There's nothing sadder than overpopulated deer. They starve, reproduce poorly and tend to get all sorts of disease issues. Since we managed to kill or drive off all their natural predators I think responsible hunting and controlled culling an overly large herd is the best way to keep them healthy.

Darn now I'm wanting a good venison roast and some homemade jerky!

Its funny because my buddy says the same thing about the rack lol.I did not feel so bad at first (missing that doe) but since the rest of the days(today and tommorow) to hunt were cancelled because of this crap over dumped on us snow .I am very sad now as i even made room in the freezer downstairs for the deer meat.
