The thing that gets me is cliff stevens park/moccason lake in clearwater florida has a frisbee golf course. You can go any day from morning to sunset and see people walking thru the water sometimes chest high bare foot feeling around foor those frisbees...I asked them is they're life really worth risking for the $2 they get for each frisbee disk? They reply's are usually "well...the gators in here aren't that big''
I've seen on numerous accounts, gators 10ft and larger swimming around in the lake and by the shore basking.

Re: Gator attacks crackhead in Lakeland, FL
at one time during the middle of the day around 2pm I saw 9 or 10 alligators all in one 50 yards of an area all swimming around and on the shore with gators ranging from 4ft to a good 12ft in length...
and you can tell they can't be afraid of humans due to feeding them because i was fishing with my girlfriend there a few weeks ago and a 5 footer swam up to us right up to the dock just waiting for food or for one of us to jump/fall in...scary how we'd look to a 12ft'er.

Wow...I can just imagine wading through deep mud and cattails in the dark with alligators around and some guy screaming his head off. *shudders* I'm glad there are people who can do that kind of rescue work, 'coz I sure couldn't.

Re: Gator attacks crackhead in Lakeland, FL
I wouldn't mind going out on an airboat with a permit and an elephant gun to go hunting for one but as far as pulling any size gator off a person would be rediculous! definetly heroic!
I dunno...As sick as it sound to hunt for one I think it would just look cool to have like a 10 footer stuffed just chillin in my living room or by the pool if when i own a house... great conversation peice...
