New Hides
Hi guys. I'm going overboard and redesigning Osiris' cage
he currently has two of these
http://www.reptilesupply.com/product...roducts_id=836
and while they're oKAY, I want something prettier, that will hug him better. Maybe something he can't take surfing all over the cage too.
If he's 3.75 ft long, and about 3-3.5 inches at his thickest, which hide would you suggest a pair of:
large

or
extra large

I like the roundness of XL but dunno if that's too tall (the current boxes have too much overhead room now at 4", but also he spreads out to touch all sides soo...). However, hole of large looks...tight.
Suggestions?

Re: New Hides
Does anyone have either of these two ExoTerra hides?

Re: New Hides
I haven't used those....but if I were shopping for hides, I'd err on the side of "too small." The snake doesn't really care how "round" it is....they just want to cram themselves in. So, the smaller the better. (Within reason, of course! )

yeah and personally, i didn't really care for them. maybe it was because i bought them and it was too small. and really heavy for that matter...the first one you posted, have all about 5 of each size of those. they're light, easy to clean, don't have all the cracks and crevices.

hmm, then maybe I shouldnt get them...
I did want a more natural looking setting though, since my one big glass tank is all I have to worry about (cleaning etc).
