That's not the only thing that determines if an enclosure is too large. Properly heating is indeed important, but so is security to the snake. An enclosure that is too large can be one of several reasons that a ball python will refuse food.Originally Posted by ballpnoob
To the OP, if your ball python settles in well, has proper temps, is not constantly roaming, but spending a good amount of time in its hides, and eats consistently for you, you should be fine. Is it the size that I would use for one of my kiddos? No, I would personally go smaller with much smaller and tighter hides. However, the wonderful thing about these animals is that there is no ONE right way to keep them!
