You can't compare a snake's illness to the illness a human may suffer. An RI must be treated by a vet. Raising the temps can make it seem like it has gone away...but it will still be lingering and can flare up even worse the next time temps drop below optimum levels.
Double-triple-quadruple check your husbandry to help keep things from getting any worse before you can get him to the vet.
And don't mess with his eyes! IF he happens to have retained eyecaps, it won't hurt them to stay until the next shed, if he doesn't rub them off by himself in the meantime. But you could do irreversable damage by trying to remove eyecaps that aren't there....or even if they are there, you still run a very high risk of injuring the snake if you don't know exactly what you're doing.
I'm sorry this is turning out to be a difficult experience for you...but if you stick with it, and get the snake healthy and settled into a proper environment....you'll have a friend for life.![]()
