Note to Self
Do not do the following:
1) Love on pregnant ratties
2) Put pregnant ratties up
3) Answer some e-mails
4) Run to bedroom to answer phone
5) See one of the big girls exploring and take her out
6) Lay down on the bed next to said girl
7) Wonder why she's acting all herky jerky and targeting in on hands
Luckily - it dawned on me quickly enough to quickly scoop her up and deposit her back into her tub before she decided to take a taste!

LOL Robin, you had a close one there! I've done that so often without thinking...grabbed up one or the other of the breeder rats then without thinking gone off to change a snake's water dish or something. I must be very lucky that so far I've only got the "hmmmm you smell real GOOD" intent look - which quickly clued me in LOL.

last night i was cleaning snake cages and i set one of the girls down on top of an empty rubbermaid. she immediately started striking out at the air all around her... i thought what in the world?! she's a sweet, calm little thing...what could be wrong? oooooh, DUH! that's the rubbermaid that i put rats in when i'm cleaning their cages.
