    Question set-up ques

    i ordered a boaphile rack..it holds 5 bps up to 4 1/2 ft..i only have 2 sub-adults..but 3 babies on the way.,,are the tubs too big to put the babies in?...b/c the rack comes prewired w/ all tubs connected so they are all heated at once..

    I would not want to put a baby ball python in anything bigger than a small shoe box.. baby BPs are very shy and can be hard to get feeding and settled in when they are in a larger tub like that. If you do decide to use those big tubs.. you'll want a lot of hiding spots in there.

    can I put some sort of divider in long ways so it makes it half the size wide?..has anyone done that before?

    Even at half size, it's going to be on the large side for a baby. Yes, some people have used dividers.

    It's a bit big even with a divider, but you may be able to fill it with lots of hides and crumpled newspaper to make it feel more secure. A shoebox would probably still be better.

    However, I have one ball that improved significantly once i got her into a rack. Being completely enclosed by black melanine except for the tub front may have helped.
