    vision CB-70 replacement tubs

I just saw this; I'm assuming the V-70 are fairly new to the market as I haven't heard anything about them, but wondered if anyone has ordered/used them. I need to fill up another 10 high adult rack built for the CB-70s with tubs, and these are cheaper than the CB-70s and supposedly better (plus I won't have another 10 lids laying around ). Anyone have any opinions?

It seems to be fine, if it is the same dimensions and thicker, I don't see where you can go wrong. It is from a good company so you know it won't be cheap quality. Go for it

I've seen Vision's racks and wouldn't exactly call them quality so I am not positive of the tub quality...

Go with the CB-70s from reptiletubs.com and tell him to keep the lids!

I agree with Jamie 100% here (about the vision racks)...

I haven't seen the Vision 70 tubs, but I use their V35's and have to say that I am not impressed with the quality.

I would recommend that you purchase ARS tubs...very thick, durable, and come in several colors/combos (with or without cup holder)...I own these and believe that the ARS 70 and 10 tubs are superior to any other tubs on the market.

Having said that you cant go wrong with reptiletubs.com either...I use them for my rat tubs and they have awesome service.

    Hope this helps!

    Evan,

I would go with the Sterilite 41 qt. tubs. They are the same dimensions as the CB-70's but about $4 - $5 cheaper!

I disagree. Iris tubs are head and shoulders above Sterilite and in the long run will save you much more than the $4-$5.

Absolutely agree! ... Iris tubs are the only off the shelf tub that is coated with a resin the prevents urates from sticking to the plastic (nice little side effect for us herpers) ... Over the last ten years I've used literally hundreds of different tub brand and model combinations and the Iris tubs are about the best unless you want to have tubs custom made (done that too )

    Re: vision CB-70 replacement tubs

Thanks for the opinions guys. I will likely just order 10 more Iris tubs as they really are the best (most of my adults are in them already), but I did want to explore other options to fill this rack. I do use 6 and 12 quart sterilite tubs for hatchlings and juvies, but the 41 qt ones are just too flimsy for my tastes, plus the rack is made for the CB-70s.

The rack has actually been 95% complete for months now in anticipation of filling it up, but has only served as a nice perch for my falcon up until now. It's time to clean it up and put it to it's intended use!!

Nothing hurts to go with the actual CB-70 tubs. However, if you are shopping for other choices, I would take a look at these too if you are considering the vision tubs.

Where are you getting your info on "same dimensions"?? The CB-70 and 41qt (1960) Sterilite aren't close enough to say the same.... A rack made for the CB-70 would be quite a bit out of tollerance to accept the 1960's, and my Ballroom racks won't even FIT a CB-70 (although I wish it would)..
