    What to use?

Hello, I am in the process of getting certified via FedEx to ship live harmless reptiles. I am getting everything ready to send off and I was wondering how does everyone attach the heat pack to the top of the styro foam top? Alos when you actually ship a snake wont the heat melt tape? If not what kind of tape? Is it best to tape it on a side of the box instead of the top? Thank you

    -Andre

I wrap the heat pack in newspaper or a paper towel, and then tape that to the underside of the top piece of insulation with normal packing tape. It definitely doesn't get hot enough to melt anything, if it did, you would have a lot more to worry about than the tape holding the heat pack.

Alright thanx. Also does it take a while to get paperwork once you passed the box test?

Andre, are the people at fedex aware of your age? Since you are under 18 you can not legally enter into a binding contract, and this certification is a binding contract.I am not trying to be rude but just trying to help you out in the long run here.Once they find out your age and if its after you being certified they will pull your account and could refuse to ever recertify you later on.

Andre, was this just someone that answered the phone when you called? They do not know anything about fedex and the REAL rules.Perfect example when i first called fedex the moron that answered told me they do not ship reptiles for anyone except zoos.So once i informed her she was an idiot without a clue i demanded to speak to a supervisor. So what i am trying to make sure here is you might be able to have an account but signing the contract needed before getting certified is where i am concerned about. You need to speak with James Brown in the legal section of fedex as he is the one you will sign the contract for.
