    Re: vet appointments

I would think if their healthy and you have no concerns then once when you first get them should be sufficent.

I have had my bp 3 yrs and he has been there 3 times, once when I first got him, worming, last year because his eye looked funny. Other than that I feel no need to disrupt him and haul him into the vet for no reason.
I could be wrong so hopefully others will chime in

My bp goes to a herp vet and he has never mentioned regular visits.

    Re: vet appointments

I discussed this once with our herp vet back in MI and basically she said that if there's no concerns, your husbandry is good and you quarantine strictly all incoming snakes, she felt it was far too stressful to bring a snake in for what is basically a wellness check.

This is not to say that should you have a concern about the health of your snake that you should ever avoid a vet trip or at least pick up the phone and get some advice. A good herp vet can be your best friend!
