    Commission Based Art

    My turn. :3

I do mostly commission-based artwork. I have no presentable reptile work to offer up as an example because no one has commissioned me to do a reptile yet. And I would very much like it if someone wanted artwork done of their herps. ;3

SAD FACT & FYI: All proceeds will be going towards me saving up for a cinnamon pastel BP and supplies for my herps. I’m trying to save up for one as fast as I can which is why I’m offering this. If this post is NOT okay, remove it and swat me with a newspaper, I will completely understand.

“Commission” – People ask me what that means a lot actually. It means you tell me what you’d like me to do, we talk a bit, agree on a price, and I get to work. Most pieces are 8½ x 11 on whatever colored paper I think suits the piece best and range from 20-50 dollars for one animal. The more complex the pattern or color the more it’s going to be. Hand drawn/colored backgrounds and larger sizes are available at an additional cost. All work is free handed and in traditional media only, I do nothing digitally but maybe add text.

*I accept PayPal, checks, MOs, Trades (see below) and cash. Shipping is a flat $2.00 to anywhere in the US or Canada.

Here are some examples of my work. Alongside is a good gauge of what a similar piece might cost though none of these are for sale as they were all commissions.

For more examples visit (I’ve got jewelry up there too FS):
    http://styx-leagon.deviantart.com/
I have drawn: Cats, dogs, horses, African cichlids, new world cichlids, seahorses, endlers, bettas, wolves, anthros, original characters, dragons, apple snails, carp, fairies, and probably more. I have done portraits of people but I do not feel they are good enough to even offer.

    Feline w/ Color BG – $50.00

    Equine - $35.00

    FISH
    Firemouth Cichlid – $25.00

    Female Oscar Cichlid – $20.00

    Betta Splendens – $15.00 – $25.00

    Anthro – $30.00

I have just a couple originals for sale. I’m working on a “genetic stripe female ball python Naga” that I’ll have up for sale this month maybe.

“Blood Embrace” $25.00 – Got an Honorable Mention in this year’s State Fair

“Autumn Stroll” $22.00 - This was a commission but someone ripped me off. I did the work and agreed to payment after it was completed and they never paid me. It’s over a year old.

    BOOKMARKS
I do custom bookmarks. $10.50 each, shipped to anywhere in the US or Canada. They are approx 5" long and 1 1/2" wide. Full color on one side with a quote, or something simple but decorate on the other.

    EXAMPLES
    Betta:

    Gecko:

    Peach-face Lovebird:

(The last two are unfinished, I have detailing to do but won’t get around to it for a week or so, I’ll update with the finished versions later. Also try and ignore the way my scanner raped the colors. You get the idea though.)

~I will also do trades. I doubt my work is worth anything I’m after, but maybe you’ll disagree (you never know…). I’m interested in (any of these can be young juvies):
Male or Female Cinnamon Pastel BPs
    Male or Female Pastel BPs
Olive or Solid/Patterness PALE Colored (white, lavender, grey, ect) Crested Geckos
Red, white, or black Gargoyle Geckos

    Any questions? Let me know.

Wow! The swirling motion of the fish is perfect. Just gorgeous. Your humans are a little funny...almost too long and angular. Very anime' bishonen, LOL.

But those fish...they just blow me a way.

Beautiful work and reasonable prices too! I'd love to see the snake one when you complete it! I may just have to contact you to do one or two of my girls after the holidays!

I love the Oscar; being Oscar keepers/lovers, Mark and I both liked it! All of them are awesome; I like your style. Proportion is everything in art, as you must know from your work.

    Re: Commission Based Art

recycling goddess, that's horrid. And a horrid death too. The white cat was the same type of commission, he died last year I thik the owner told me.

rabernet, yeah, I'm just wondering if I should give her nippie covers or leave her bare. I can't make up my mind. Maybe I'll just censor it and post it here and get some opinions.

Ginevive, thanks. ^^ I love oscars, but don't have the space to keep one, so I have to settle for art. Hahahah
