my snakes looooove to go outside. we have a tree we've pruned just for our hog island boa. he climbs up it, investigates every single branch (heaven forbid he miss one LOL) and then he settles, in the sun and naps. he'll stay up there for about 4 hours at a time. i sit on the lawn and watch him. a bit boring for me... cause i don't take my eyes off him (he's such a naughty boy i wouldn't trust him to stay where i put him LOL). my hubby gets the ladder out to retrieve him at the end of his bask... he hisses like crazy sounds so cute... "no dad i don't wanna go inside"

my ball python loves to stay down... he hates the tree. he prefers to rustle underneath the plants in the rock garden and hide out.

when we had bearded dragons we took them out a few times a week during the summer... to get some nice warm sunshine and UVB on them. they loooooved basking on a rock by our pond. one of our dragons even went into the water, every time we had him out and seemed to be chasing the fish in the pond LOL - i wish i had taken photos of him.
