BCI shedding question
I've had my BCI male Shadow for 3 weeks and I am expecting him to shed soon. Do they give us warnings like BP's do with the pink belly and just becoming darker and duller? His eyes are still clear but his tail near the vent is pink.

Yep, you got it... they turn dark, get dull, blue eyes, and a pinker than normal belly.

Re: BCI shedding question
My female seems to get slightly saggy skin before shedding and a dull color. Topaz is in full blue in my avator if that shows you anything to look for.

Yep usual signs. Very dull or dark coloring, big ole blue eyes....occasionally crabby temperment lol.

Re: BCI shedding question
thanks that'd be a big help. I think sometimes he's just a little darker than normal but I'm still expecting him to shed soon.

Re: BCI shedding question
Well from my very limited BCI experience Jack I did notice they definitely have light and dark phase times that aren't related to shed cycles so that darker look you are seeing may be that as well.

Re: BCI shedding question
yea he does appear to be able to "change" his lightness and darkness a bit so that is what I think I saw. thanks everyone.
