That is exactly what I was thinking. Either the snake is a boy or girl.....there should be no "if".....

Both popping and probing can damage reproductive organs and other body parts if done incorrectly. However, if someone is experienced there should be no worries.

racer, we are not questioning your vet in particular. However, some vets that are not experienced in the treatment of reptiles sometimes treat reptiles....they tend to project their 'expert' advice and info onto the owners without having any knowledge about snakes beyond what a textbook or limited experience dictates. It is always good to check with the ARAV (www.arav.org) to see it the vet is listed. If you have a vet that is listed there.....you should have now worries and know that your snake is in the best possible care
