Nah... take vitamin C for example. Almost all animals can synthesize their own vitamin C except for a small group such as humans, apes, guinea pigs, and a few others. Therefore as humans we need to consume food that contains L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C), but even though other animals can consume that same food they are not receiving any benefit from the vitamin C contained in it as their body already produces sufficient quanitites.
