Proper husbandry goes a long way, and since this is her first shed with you(I assume), it is just a result of bad conditions before you got her(not your fault, no worries).

And moist paper towels work just as well as moss, especially if you don't really have the funds for the bag of sphagnum moss(Lowe's carries it, brand name is Mosser Lee, bag is around $3-$4) or can't find it at your local stores.

I have all of my snakes in tubs, all of them(Balls, Boa, Corns, even 2 female Crested Geckos), and no one has bad sheds. Humidity is maintained at 50-55%, no misting required, and everyone sheds just fine.

You're a good snake momma, don't worry too much You'll get gray hairs soon enough, LoL.
