building enclosure

On Friday, I decieded to build a new enclosure. Im making it so that it is 4 feet long, then 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall. I am used 2x2 boards for the frame and then ply wood for the back, sides, and the top. I sprayed all of them with a water resistent spray and then will use silicone on all the edges. the front of it is going to be one piece of plexi glass screwed on. The top will fold up. Now that im nearly done, I just thought about heating it. How will I be able to heat it? I was thinking about putting flex watt on one side and it would be on the actual side so it wouldnt be belly heat but enough to heat half of the encloser. Will this work? Will flex watt on wood make fire a possibility?

for a cage that big. look into radiant heat panels and a good thermostat.

Okay, so its all finished except for heating. I ordered a heat panel from pro-products.com on thursday and it should be here tomarrow or the day after. Either way, im excited to get it done and a snake put into it. Ill post some picks if any one is intrested.
