Not being rude either Joe but maybe being with the SPCA she recognizes that you take a living creature to someone who knows what they are doing when that animal is in crisis. You don't overestimate your ability to be all things to all creatures, you do what's best for the animal involved. Personally as much as I love our snakes, if I felt something was beyond my skill set with them, I'd be hauling butt to a more experienced person. The snake's best interests are probably being met right now where he is. Part of rescue is rehabbing and working to place the snakes with a loving forever home.
