i can only speak from my experience and those beardie owners i've talked with over the net... no one i'm aware of has had any luck with 'dead' food...

but that doesn't mean i'm right! just my experience is all. i suppose if you offered nothing BUT that food... the beardie may learn to accept it or die? i don't know. sorry.
