    opening his mouth

I've heard before that a bp constantly opening his mouth might be a sign of infection.

My bp has the perfect conditions, but I have seen him open his mouth before (one time twice in a row). Is there anything else I should look for that would suggest infection? What kind of problem is this?

edit: it's not like it happens everyday/all that often, but i just wanted to know if i could catch it early or if it was something normal bps do sometimes...

    Re: opening his mouth

How often, they yawn just like you, after they eat they will open and close their mouths sometimes several times to "stretch" or "readjust" things. If it happens for prolonged periods as if it was open-mouth breathing then i would be worried. Does he/she take breaths while he has his mouth open??

i see him do it after he eats, but last night he did it a few times (he ate four days ago). Maybe he is just stretching? He seems to be breathing fine
