I use individual plugs for each strip of flexwatt. I also have all of the plugs in the powerstrip attached to my Ranco used up.

I so far never (*knocks on wood*) have had a problem.

I like them on their own plug because if you aren't using a particular shelf in the rack, you can unplug the specific shelf.
