Hi Rapture,
Yeah I know whats involved with the breeding - I used to breed corns most years and leopard gecko's for a while. I'm hoping the rack I'm in the planning stages of will provide enough space - so far the best way seems to be one rack for the royals and one for the corns/house snake and hatchlings.Means 3 thermostats and heat cables but I can't see any better way of controling the heat well enough for my liking.
The het does seem to be the way to go for me as the prices here in the u.k. are a bit higher than the ones you enjoy at the moment;
pastel males seem to be around $900 - $1100
100% het albino pair is $1000
mojave male is $2800
albinos are $2600
cinamon female hatchling $3200
thats the lowest prices I could find anyway but hey I have time to wait and see if they drop a bit.I've had some of my royals for 11 years ( found the original feeding records last week and went all misty eyed)
so I'm not really in any rush.
Besides if I'm lucky enough to get a job soon I might be able to actually afford to buy a cinny **crosses fingers, legs and eyes**
