New rack (pic, questions)
Heeere it is! I was so excited moving everyone into it; all of these redundant tanks can go now! I have a question; I am a little concerned b/c the middle-front lip of the tub ca be moved outward with finger pressure; can they get out of here? Or am I just being paranoid?

Thanks; this is all so different to me. I have kept BPs for about 4 years, always in tanks; this is a step forward into odd territory though! It is easier already; they take up about a fourth of the floorspace as the tanks did.

That is the problem I am trying to solve. With just my 3 tanks it looks like my room is nothing but tanks. I am just waiting on some good weather so I can go pick up a sheet of melamine. What are the dimensions of your rack?

DO you have a hide on the cool side? I have noticed a few people with tubs with no hides on the cool side.

The dimensions of the tub are roughly 20 inches by 36. Sterilite 41-quart tubs.
I am worried now! I won't sleep a wink; I tihnk I'll hunt for something for a temporary fix for now..

It was only one snake and it was 3 weeks after being put into the rack. I wouldn't worry too much, plus it was my largest female at 2500 grams (at the time).

Re: New rack (pic, questions)
Looks good for sure! Just an idea for concerns on the tub and edge of the rack... You could attach/screw/affix a piece of material to the edge of each shelf that you could rotate up or down. In the down state it would be the span one level and come down right in the middle to prevent the tub from moving outwards. Does that make sense? Think of clock hands and how they rotate, swing the latch up to pull a tub out and then swing it back down to "lock" the tub in place?
Anyway congrats on a step forward!
