    Wink Im back again !!!!!

    Hey Everybody,
It is me...The EyeLashViper !!! I sort of slacked off there for awhile this summer and have not been on the forum at all so I hope someone out there remembers me....I am the guy who got chomped by his Western Hognose and landed in the hospital....my arm has really healed a lot in the last four or five months since the incident and it doesnt look as bad as I thought it was going to be - there is still a pale discoloration from my wrist to my elbow but you can hardly see it unless I point it out. I DO have a nice purplish scar where the hognose sank her fangs in on the top of my right hand-she really latched on and ground her fangs in and hit a vein in process -you should have seen it bleed when she let go !!!! anyhoo.....

Well, I am still into snakes as usual - I now have two Ball Pythons, one Jungle Carpet Python, one Mexican Kingsnake, one Albino Nelsons Milksnake, one tangerine phase Pueblan Milksnake and one Snow Corn. This is my little collection these days....

I have to say that I have had numerous types of snakes in the last 5 years that I have been into the snake hobby but I feel that best of them all are the Ball pythons and cornsnakes....ya just can't beat the two if you truly want a cool pet snake. There are other species out there that are more exotic but as I have found they are also a lot more trouble and some snakes just dont make good pets at all. my long term goal in snake keeping is to some day be able to afford a designer Ball Python...perhaps a PieBald or Albino.

Hmmm...anyways I will be on the forum a lot more in the days to come as I also got a brand spanking new computer to replace my old clunker that finally gave up the ghost a few weeks ago....so I am motivated to spend more time on the computer now !!!!

Okay......I hope to meet any new people out there that I do not know and I also hope some of you remember me....I will be talking to ya !!!

Talking Re: Im back again !!!!!

Yep, I first came on the forum exactly 3 years and one day ago. My mother died January the 31st 2005 and I basically had a nervous breakdown and went off the computer for a very long time. I am still sort of getting it back together again - I have really buried myself in the snake hobby to keep from getting too depressed about her death. My mom was a great mom....she actually got chewed on her wrist once my one of my milksnakes and she didnt even get mad at me or the snake...she took it in stride although at the moment she appeared that she was going to faint....one of many memories that I now have of her now that she is gone. She actually liked my snakes!!!

I am glad you're back; I was wondering where you were. I agree, BPs in my opinion are the ideal pet snake. Nice size, relatively easy to handle (when compared to smaller, faster and thinner snakes..)
Glad your hobby is helping you move on.. they are so rewarding to keep and spend time on/with.

Glad to see you are back again! It's good that your arm has healed well.. your story was quite scary! Made me rethink getting a hognose.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom.. I can't imaging what that would be like, but thankfully your snake hobby was able to ease your pain, even if just a little.

Sounds like you have a very nice little collection.. I've got many of the same snakes as you do.
