breeding question

so i have invested a lot of money it to some great balls and this eill be the first year my big female is ready but i have a question that relates to my setup, i use red heat bulbs on my snakes 24\7 but at night i let the room temp drop to cooler ranges will the 24 heat from the light screw up my breeding, please can someone help!!

I haven't tried it, but a breeder friend of mine suggested that I leave the temps in my rack alone, and simply open a window a crack for the cooler ambient air. If your room temps are dropping more now than earlier in the season, you might be ok.

what's your method of measuring temps? if you have a system that recognizes temp drops and increases power to compensate and raise the heat, then you should be OK as long as you can monitor the temps.

I keep my ball pythons at the normal temps all year long and this includes breeding time.I have done this for two seasons and have had little ones both years.The only thing that changes is the climate outside.So far my male pastel has locked up with two females and it lasted for 2 or 3 days.Its really your choice if you want to cool them down or not.
