Just be patient! Nothing ever happens fast with BP's. Their world runs in serious "Slo-Mo" compared to ours.

Was your snake housed at somebody else's place for awhile? If so, or if any similar move was involved in your return and getting your snake back.....then you should give him a new acclimation period...a full week (at least) to settle in and get used to its new place. Even if its in the same enclosure....a new house...or even a new room in the house...will have different shadows, different movements, different smells, different vibrations, even different temps and airflow that may make a BP nervous until they get used to it.

Even if everything has been exactly the same from when you left til your return....give him time to get used to your scent and presence again. Don't mess with him for awhile, other than to change water and clean up. Then start slow, brief handling sessions...just as you would with a new BP.

They're not like dogs that may make a lifetime imprint on an owner.
