Not like me (something different)
I decided to start up a basic 10g tropical tank. My friend at the fish store actually said "what's with you buying these??) lol. (she's used to me taking home goldfish; I really don't keep much else in the way of fish.) Here are a few pics; not much to look at right now but it's a start; two swordtails. I'll be adding/decorating it more in the near future.

Fancy feeder fish! (Thats what we call them at work) LOL Looks like you have some baby fish planned for the future...and I'm sure you'll be overrun in no time.
You can never have "too many" fish tanks set up.

i have to disagree with that. I had 10 in my room, 1 in the living room, one at my grandma's and around 15 i took care of at school. That was too many . "Water change" becomes a very bad word very quickly. I'm down to 3 in my room plus the others now and finally getting some other people taught how to take care of the waterchanges and glass scraping in the school tanks. One thing i noticed is there's no background on the tank. I cant really tell what's behind it, but if thats a window sill then you may be in for a couple suprizes. You'll have a hard time controling the temp in the tank, and with out a background the direct sunlight will make it a 10 gallon algae garden in no time. Really nice looking neon male you have there.

i think you'll find tanks are like snakes... you never have enough LOL
congrats!
Agreed!

I have three tanks at home (46g planted, 75g saltwater, 10g tetras), 6 1 gal betta jars, and at work I take care of 200+ tanks total, 50 of which are saltwater, 150 freshwater....Water changes are easy ...unplug pumps, siphon each tank, add dechlor to sump, open ball valve (water in), shut ball valve off, viola!
I would love to have so many tanks in my house. I always seem to set up species tanks that aren't ideal conditions for other types of fish or just different aggression levels so I would have to keep them in separate tanks. With 200 tanks at home I could keep anything! But I don't have the funding to run 200 tanks, with filters, lighting, pumps, etc... The electrical bill alone would kill me.
Sorry to hijack Gin! Rock on to adding another water box!

Re: Not like me (something different)
No background isnt a problem (i have some that way too), i just meant if its right infront of a window it might end up causing trouble. If its not then no worries. We had that problem with a few of the school tanks and I hate to see anyone else have to deal with the mess it can make. A python would make things nice with several tanks. I dont see how it would be possible any other way with tanks the size of those though. (for those who dont know a python in this case is a hose system that attaches to your sink facuet and pulls water out of the tanks, and also refils them and does away with the need to carry bucket after bucket after bucket of water though the house) I was mostly kidding about the first part of that comment about having to many though. The main reason I downsized was i just didnt have the time to take proper care of all that i had. I wish i still had them all set up.

I knew you didn't mean it! Your name is piranhaking for a reason I'm sure. I know what you mean about not much time though...
