in the meantime are you keeping them comfortable? removing mites, giving a water bowl large enough to soak in, cleaning tank and using newspaper as a substrate? You cant prevent them from returning without the pam, but atleast you can kill the ones that are there now.

I may get negative rep for this but some people use Sevin-5 in a bind to kill off mites. Its even recommended on the label for dogs and cats and their sleeping quarters. Also mineral oil is another option besides PAM. Theres also Repel Permanone (same active ingredient in PAM...Permethrin..same strength) which is available at Walmart. But every option must be applied properly...just as with PAM.

Good Luck in the meantime...I am sure the PAM will arrive shortly.
