of course handling the snake is fun but try to limit it at first to prevent her from getting stressed. too much too soon could make it hard when it comes down to feeding time.

First Welcome to the group .Now things you need to know to keep your little one happy and healthy.Make sure your temps are correct,90ish on the hot side and 80ish on the cool side.Make sure she has hides on each side in the proper sizes(balls like tight fitting spaces).Next do not handle her for at least a week or two so she can adjust to her new home. The reason for this is your snake stresses out very easily,a stressed out ball python can refuse to eat.So i suggest you start over just like you just brought her home and leave her alone for the 1 to 2 weeks.I know this will be hard to do,its for your snakes best interest. After this time period of getting used to her new home is over you can attempt to feed her.Make sure the prey item is equal to her mid-sections width. In other words if she is a small baby a mouse fuzzy or small pinky rat is of correct size for a baby ball python. If you have any other questions ask away

If you haven't seen it already here is a link to a great ball python care sheet.

I agree that handling your new snake as little as possible is best for the first week or so. If you haven't already considered this you might set her up in a tub enclosure. Here is a great link on how to make one.

I'm sure I'm leaving out all kinds of things, but I'm happy to answer any questions you still have.
Glad to have you with us!

My first snake a burmese python also .They are like pit bulls only in a reptile sense. What i mean burmese pythons are not as bad as some make them sound. If you have common sense and RESPECT the snake they make awsome pets.Out of all the "attacks" by large snakes 99% percent are caused by human mistakes.I am sorry for getting of topic .
