    Smile new boa owner!

    hey guys i just got my first boa! the guy i bought him from didnt realise they get over 4ft long!:eek: anyway hes about 18months old now being fed one med rat a week. i had a friend look at him and he reckons hes a little bit over weight...so could you guys tell me what ye think please! btw he is definately male aswell probed him and all

    oh okay he looks different in the smaller photo (i saw the original you had up)

    boas do really well either fed weekly or fed 2 days after they defecate. i've started feeding mine 2 days after they defecate instead of weekly.

    my hog island and my rtb are both over a year... and they are fed adult mice or rats of the equivalent size... i would think a medium rat would be more than he needs at this point. - but that's just my opinion and i certainly don't have the experience of other members here.

    as far as i know the orginal owner was feeding him a couple of rats a week so i cut it back to one instead.once he has eated the rat there is litle or no bump in him at all
