Omg!!!!
I was just shopping ebay; turns out, my man is watching an auction for an Engagement Ring!!!!
I have been waiting him out; we've been together almost 6 years now
Now I just hope it's for me.. lol.. just kidding; I know it would be. I ain't letting on that I saw it though.
If you're married/engaged; how did your honey propose to you?

WOW!!! Thats exciting!!! Congrats....hopefully!!!!!
Here's how Mike proposed to me....
We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach S.C. with my family. One day we all went out to sit on the beach...well everyone but my hubby and brother. About a half an hour later, they both come meet us.
A few minutes go by and everyone is yelling...."OMG SUSAN LOOK!!!"
He had gotten one of those airplanes to pull a sign that said "Susan I love you, Will you marry me? Mike."

Re: Omg!!!!
I think I was mostly in shock!!! I really didn't expect that. Everyone on the beach were going CRAZY!! I think I ended up showing my ring to EVERYONE that was around us!!! I wish I had pics to post. My brother recorded it, and we took pics with a disposable camera. But the pics didn't turn out too well.

Re: Omg!!!!
Wow, I don't know what to say.....Congrats-to-be? Future congrats? lol
My husband did the proposal a little backwards....a month before the wedding we had been planning for almost 2 years!
We were at the Olive Garden, it was Valentine's day. Our waitress was handing out cheesy little Valentine cards to the couples, so I have ours in our wedding album.

Re: Omg!!!!
Ok so heres how I dropped the bomb. I had taken a black pearl necklace to the jewler to be fixed (for the second time) while I was there I saw the ring. It was her to the tee. So later the next week I went to pick up the necklace and the ring. We got home from shopping and she was putting away the food when
ME: Hey I got your Pearls back today!
Her: Oh great!
Me: yea look this is the second time I have had to have those fixed. You can only have them if you do me a huge favor!
Her: yea I know babe be more careful with them.
Me: No [hits one knee] marry me.
Her: your f'ing kidding me.
Me: not really the answer I was hoping for but is that a yes?
Her: of course!!!!

Re: Omg!!!!
Mine wasn't all that great but it worked LOL. This is going to sound really bad of me but it started out as me not knowing what to get the girl for christmas. We had been dating I think around 2-3 years and she was still going to college in another state at the time. Anyway I knew she was the one from the beginning and that I would ask her to marry me. So she's a horse girl and isn't into jewelry all that much or "fluffy" stuff. I think about asking her and talk to my best buddy at the time...he also knew there would be no one more perfect so he encourages me to go ahead. I ended up buying the ring and on Christmas morning in my crappy old town house appartment...after not sleeping much of the night I asked her to close her eyes. Shaking like a leaf I get the box out of its hiding place and as I'm struggling to get the words out she opens her eyes and gasps and starts shaking a little herself and throws her arms around me. YES!! It was a good xmas, my Aunt with the same name only spelled differently was also asked to be married...that was to funny.
So I got off the hook for xmas that year LOL...however it has made the last 5yrs or so of gifts just as difficult to find for her! We have been married 4yrs now, engaged about a year while she finished her last year of college. It's a great and exciting thing to take such a big step with someone you love, congrats!

Re: Omg!!!!
Big congrats Jen!! and great engagement stories everyone!
I proposed in a bowling alley. Now that may sound like the most un-romantic place to do it, but let me give you a little background info. We went bowling on our first date, and really hit it off (I even rolled 9 in a row, but choked on the tenth for a 266. I think it was my mad bowling skills that won her over ). So when the time came to propose, I wanted it be a total surprise, and I choose the least likely place for the event to occur. I got a nice custom ring, and told her we were going to dinner and bowling for her birthday. I know the owner of the lanes we went to (bowled in leagues there for a few years), so i asked him the day before if he could have "Robin, will you marry me" scroll across the screen about halfway through our first game. I was so nervous, I couldn't even bowl, and she kinda knew something was up because of that. She is not one for public attention, and kinda freaked out when she saw it. I'm on one knee with the ring in hand, and all she can say is "you're kiddin right!?" in a somewhat annoyed voice, then kinda giggled and said "of course!" So it really was romantic and sentimental.
Anyway, let us know when he pops the question eh. I'm so excited for you!! .
