Nate,when you probe a snake you compare how far it goes in by the amount of scales(subcaudels) that measurment covers.A female should go 2 to 4 subcaudels ,males 6 and up.When you place the probe inside the snake you keep your thumb at the spot where the probe stops.I hope i explained this well enoughOriginally Posted by nathanledet
