    Before Feeding

Should a BP be left alone a day or two before feeding? Just like A.F. (after feed)

The only times i do not handle my ball pythons is the 2 days after being fed and the day of the next feeding.

    Re: Before Feeding

The day of for me is a no hold time, i have held them in the morning then tried feeding and that resulted with a live mouse and an uninterested snake.

i agree with this....I usually handle Loki for about 15 minutes before I feed him,
then I put him in with his rat. I've never had a problem with him refusing food.

Merlin on the other hand, he's totally different. The only time I can handle him around feeding day is when I'm moving him so he can eat. Afterwards, he gets grouchy, even just picking him up and putting him back in the tank.

You just have to kinda "play" with it, and find out what works for you and your snake.

I hardly ever handle mine and they have great eating habits.
