Heating...
i just got me a new BP and i love it. but i was wondering is it a lot easier to keep the temps right in a rubbermaid than a glass aquarium? and if so what are some good techniques to heat those? you couldnt use a UTH could you?? well im just new here and looking for some advise. i know there are plenty of people to help me out. Thanks

Re: Heating...
A lot of people here use tubs rather than tanks. Yes you can use a UTH, but you must use a Tstat to control temps. Tubs will not melt unless temps are like 115...honestly i don't know the melting point of a tub..
They're easier to maintain and keep humidity right

Re: Heating...

I do like tubs better than tanks. They're easier to clean, maintain humidity better, and heating is a bit easier. Of course it's going to be difficult to heat any enclosure if your average room temp is 65. You can use an UTH, but you must have it controlled with a thermostat. (but you should use something to control the UTH no matter what enclosure you are using)
