I prefer to get my babies eating and settled before I start any handling. Waiting after they've had 2-3 meals ensures they will be on a good schedule and shouldn't be stressed. Try feeding her and then 2 days later, handle her for 5-10 minutes. Then wait until 2 days after the next feeding day to handle her again, maybe 5-10 minutes that day as well. Work your way up to about 20 minutes or so per week. I handle all of my Ball Pythons maybe 5-10 minutes twice per week, but the boa, since he doesn't stress regardless of the situation, gets to stay out as long as he isn't trying to go everywhere(which is usually around 2 hours or so.

The balls just stress easily, and I prefer to keep mine eating and growing and doing what they should be doing without me pestering them with too much handling. 5-10 minutes 2 days after feeding day should be enough to get her started
