    My First Ball Python

I am a first time reptile owner and I am gald I stumbled upon this place. These forums have halped me in almost every way possible in learning about snakes. So, I figured I'd share my new girl with everyone. Here name's Denise and she is about a year old.

Oh, one other thing. I was holding her today and I think I saw a mite scurry across the top of her head. It may have just been my eyes, but I dont know. I got her from a local reptile specialist so I dont think it could be too bad if she did have them. Anyways, I'll be sure to keep inspecting her for mites. Thanks for all the help!

    Great pics!

IT really doesn't matter where you buy the snake from, mites are bad if it is on ANY snake. Just keep an eye out for them

That's a hot bp! I love the pattern.

If you are worried about mites, you might want to pick up some Provent a Mite just in case. The creepy crawlies definitely creep me out. By the way, mites look like this ( . )
