    oh what a lesson.

well this has been an interesting day for me to say the least. well anyway i get a call from my mom today letting me know one of her breeder parrots died this morning while at the vet. apparently the male had liver and kidney problems for an estimated time of 6-9 months. my mom only owned these birds for less than 3 months, but she has learned a very important lesson in her loss, do not save a buck when you get new animals always have them checked by a vet. she is out over 2k for the bird alone and now the female is in question now and being checked by the vet and there is nothing that can be done. just a lil rant .

yellow fronted amazons, the thing that pisses me off is she knows better she has been doing this for 20 years. a $100 vet vist when she purchased these animals would have prevented this all and possibly a treatment that would have saved the bird. now she is over $1000 in vet bills and is about to lose the female as well.

    oh that's so sad
is it some kind of genetic or virus thing? (knows nothing of birds)
should she prehaps contact the person she purchased them from to let them know and have them check up on their birds for safety?

as far as the issue of genitic or virus i am not shure, since she did not have a vet check when she purchased the birds the seller is not liable for anything at this point. that is what pissed me off about it, because she knows better.
