    Proportional T-Stat

I know this might be an obvious question... But I can't figure it out for the life of me . What does it mean when a T-STAT is proportional?

    Re: Proportional T-Stat

here you go, one of the best stats imo,

    http://www.helixcontrols.com/

the dbs-1000 is easy to setup and use.

proportional stats constantly adjust the power level to the heat source to maintain set temps.

stats like ranco and johnson are on/off. they reach setpoint and turn off completely.

the proportionals reach setpoint and trickle power to keep the temp right there.

for me and my setups, the deliver very steady and reliable temps 24/7.

my advice is to buy it here

    http://www.spyderrobotics.com/

dion makes the stats and will sell directly to you. why not go to the source for a product?

    Re: Proportional T-Stat

Even if its MORE buying direct (which its not), the chance of me having to wait a month to get a product delivered from MGR would be worth paying MORE from Dion directly. That's just me...

    Re: Proportional T-Stat

    I was bored...here ya go:

    Direct from Spyder:
    109.00 + 6.00 s/h = $115.00

    From our favorite middleman:
    107.99 + 9.95 = $117.94

    You do the math?
