I was doing a little reading before work today and stumbled across this about breeding:

"Combat often stimulates inactive male pythons to court and breed females placed in their cages. Many python breeders purposely place males together, encouraging combat between them, before placing the males with the females for mating." From: The Ball Pyhton Manual by Phillipe de Vosjoli

Anyway, is this a common thing? I just thought it was interesting, and have never really heard much about this before. Is it for "problem" breeder males, or does this not really happen much?
