Are you using lights to heat or an UTH ?? Lights suck humidity out bad!

Theres the problem. UTH is an Under Tank Heater. Like a heating pad for reptiles. Heat lights and lights period suck out humdity and will dry stuff out quick..

Is it a larger or taller aquarium? Are lights the only heat source?

Are the thermomenters analog, digital or stick-on?

I have a couple small suggestions. I keep mine in tanks and fight the same problem. 1 make sure the water is near the heat source. 2 something I tried that made a world of difference I took a small plastic container and made holes around the middle with about an inch in between. I soaked some repti bark then put it in the conainer put water to just under the holes and put it by my heat source (next to the water behind the hide). I havent had to mist once I just refresh that water everyday when I clean the water dish.

As well as other stickies you may find very informative.

And yes...snakes can carry mites that you won't see for awhile...usually eggs that will hatch sometime in the next week or two...IF she has any.
