Ike's got a burn
Well Last week my bp decided he was going to escape every day at least once...well I guess while he was on one of his run away escapades he either brushed against the back of my minifridge or his heat lamp.
I didn't notice anything until after he shed,(two days ago).... now he has a grey spot about the size of half a quarter on his side. It breaks my heart that he is burnt. I can see the scab that formed around it, and i wanted to know is there anything i can do to make sure he doesn't get infected or scared? I cleaned his cage right after he shed and put down white paper towels so i could see if he was bleeding or anything else (puss, scales, bugs). So far he is clean, no blood, no loose scales, and no bugs... so thats good...I even turned up the heat alittle (since its getting colder in ohio already, and it made him happier) .ANYWAYs, how can i help my Ike heal fastest, and should i keep on worrying about infection (neosporin?)
any ideas?

First you need to secure his enclosure properly to put a stop to these excapes.I am not sure what you have him in but something needs to be done today.By him escaping numerous times he could get RI and then your vet bill will be higher compared to you fixing the enclosure and putting a stop to his escapes once and for all .As far as the sore area if it has a scab on it it is healing allready. You can place some neosporin on it to prevent any infection. If it does start to bleed or puss get him to a vet ASAP.Keep us posted

Re: Ike's got a burn
yeah I took care of the security issues last week after escape #4 hahah. ok so his wounds should be ok... thats good to know . I keep him in my bedroom, so when ever he escaped i found him pretty easily, in my bed under my covers, a nice suprise when it was bed time haha. thanks for the advice, I think Ike will be ok, since he is active and doesn't hesitate to squeeze my arm with his wounded areas too. I hope he will be alright and I certainly will make sure i keep everyone posted
