Amarin was telling some folks in a chatroom about her new Brooks Kingsnake, and this conversation ensued... This guy's snake info just keeps snowballing... um, WOW... Names have been changed to protect the ignorant! The ignorance is pretty average at the start but stick with him... his story gets better.
Chatter #1: (oh and gratz on the new snake thing.)
Amarin: ^_^
Jimmy: what kind of snake?
Amarin: Brooks kingsnake
Jimmy: hmm sounds dangerious
Amarin: A kingsnake?
Jimmy: thought they were poisonous
Amarin: Kingsnakes are harmless! Absolutely sweethearts
Amarin: Now king COBRAS are poisonous...
Jimmy: well yeah
Amarin: And kingsnakes may EAT some poisonous snakes...
Amarin: They eat rattlesnakes
Jimmy: so they are related to the Boa
Jimmy: of course we have to watch out with the Boa's and gardener snakes around here, they be cross breeding with the rattlers
Amarin: What?
Jimmy: yup we been getting poisonous Boa's
Amarin: Kings aren't in the boa family at all.
Amarin: And there's no such thing as a poisonous boa. Boas and garter snakes and rattlers CAN'T crossbreed.
Jimmy: yeah tell that to their DNA
Amarin: That's like trying to crossbreed a pigeon and a chicken.
Jimmy: they have done the DNA testing on them, they've found Boas and diamond back rattlesnacks crossed
Amarin: Who's done DNA testing?
Jimmy: not sure who it is, most likely the Game and Fish
Amarin: Is there an article out there on this?
Amarin: If there is I'd love to see it.
Jimmy: not that i know of, atleast i don't know of one on the internet
Amarin: Well, where'd you hear about this? What state?
Jimmy: Wyoming
Jimmy: my mom found out about it at one of the City Council meetings
Amarin: So you're telling me that the boas and garter snakes and the diamondbacks in wyoming are all crossbreeding.
Jimmy: well not willingly, they tend to nest together in the winter though because it gets so damn cold here
Jimmy: but they are finding Boas with fangs and poison sacks but no rattles, and rattlesnakes with no fangs or poison sack but rattles
Chatter #1: oh come on, just admit the snakes up there are all horny perverts.
The conversation moved on to other things from there, but Amarin's brain is still recovering. My favorite bit?
Amarin: So you're telling me that the boas and garter snakes and the diamondbacks in wyoming are all crossbreeding.
Jimmy: well not willingly
