I honestly dont know what to tell you Ed, people ask me how all the time, and I just dont know what to tell them....Ive seen people that feed ALOT more often than I do, with bigger prey as well, who dont get near the growth I do(I dont use anything bigger than 50-80g small rats, even with the big 'uns...snakes under 400g get big pups or weans) maybe there is a correlation between heat/humidity, and growth vs. feeding, I really dont know... my snake room is completely isolated, with no windows, which allows me to have total control over light cycles and ambient temps/humidity, non-breeders are on a cycle of 18 hours of light per day, ambient temp is around 83, temps in the racks are 81-83 cool side, and the Helix is set to 96 on the tape( whatever it is in the tub...it is LOL) humidity in tubs is 60-70%, bumped to 100% during shed, fans are run 24/7, creating major air flow.....how are things run at your facility Ed? as far as temps/light/humidity/prey & size/feeding intervals, this could be something to look into ( growth rates vs living conditons/feeding rates)
