    time to introduce myself.

    hello all,

well i figure it is time to introduce myself to the site so we can get to know one another. to start some may already know from a few other sites that are no longer around. if not it is nice to meat you all for the first time. i am 30 y/o, married (seperated), 6 wonderfull kids 3 boys and 3 girls. well my experience involves a bunch of different animals both domestic and exotic. i also have worked for a few pet stores. even though i have had ball pythons for many years i have not been bittin by the ball breeding bug till this year. my main focuse for about 6 years have been liasis pythons, and a few others as well. i have bred water pythons and irian jaya's with success and feel it is time to go to something a little easier. i have had a lot of fun with these animals and will continue to learn and grow with them. here is a list of snakes i have owned and have good experience with:

    water pythons
    olive pythons
    papuan pythons
    ring pythons
    macklot pythons
    irian jaya carpet pythons
    borneo blood pythons
    sumatran blood pythons
    white lipped pythons
    indian pythons
    ball pythons
    rough scaled sand boas
    brazilian rainbow boas
    gaboon vipers
    rino vipers
    rattle snakes
    copperheads
    corns

well i will stop with that i think you get the picture, lol, feel free to ask me anything because i know i will be asking alot when it comes to the balls.

Wow! That's quite a range of experience. And some amazing "Hots" in the list as well. Gaboons in particular fascinate me to no end. Not that I would ever consider keeping one...but I could sit and stare at them all day!

Would it be safe to assume that given your user-name that you are from Australia? If so, I think you'd be our first "Down Under" member...at least the first that takes the time to share and participate.

Either way...WELCOME aboard! : Looking forward to picking your brain about all those amazing snakes!

Welcome to the site! We have a pair of fuscus - the male is one of the mellowest snakes in the house and the female is hands down the nastiest piece of work I've seen.

    Couple of questions:

What weight/size did you breed your fuscus and how readily did they breed for you?

How receptive do you think our psycho female would be with our tractable fellow?

Any other general thoughts on your experience with these would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the site. Every Sunday night me and Smulkin have blind folded monkey knife fighting. He usually wins 'cause he cheats but it's ok.

True. But you have that monkey scream that sorta throws me off until you're lunging at my face and gouging my eyes out.

    Re: time to introduce myself.

thank you for the warm welcome all

ok to answer a few questions sorry about the names but you will know if it is for you or not.

no i am not from australia that is/was by buisness name i am actually from pennsylvania but the majority of my projects were from australia and indonesia

as far as the fuscus, man that was a 6 year project for 1 clutch, the females i have worked with were always nasty in their cage but very gentile once out in your hands. i went thrue 4 males until she found the one she liked, that is normal in them, very picky with males, and males are also known to be sterile, i am not shure on weight never weighed her, but she was about 6-8 years old she finally droped 9 eggs five hatched, and one died about a week later, the guy i purchased her from wanted her back and he killed her by accedent. there are a few tricks to know about them when it comes to breeding though. shoot me a pm if/when you plan on it and i will share them with you if you are not already aware of them.
