    lighting? help

    would it be fine is i used this light for 24hr?

    also uv lights are not really needed for bps

    That light would be ok. You may need a dimmer switch to hook it up to in order to control how much heat it puts out.


    And you're correct. BP's don't need UV lighting. Consider that in the wild they spend the whole day buried in rodent burrows or termite mounds and only come out after the sun goes down. They weren't created to need UV light in the same way as an animal that spends all day in the sun.

    I use that one as a 24 heat source, but it doesn't produce a lot of heat. It's usually ok during the day, but at night, it's good to have a UTH with a thermostat. should only cost you around $50. A little pricey, but well worth it.

    UV's aren't required, but if your room doesn't get a lot of light in it, you may need one.

    i have one heat pad. well what if i used flex-watt? i have been tryin to get my temps to stay consistant, i have been doing ok, maybe i should make another post on caging
