    cant belive it

i went to a petshop today to get some food for my bonez when i got home i opened the box and noticed the mouse looks like its been chewed up and it has a tumor on its neck, looked like it had cancer and it was eating away at him. so i go to return it and shes like whats the problem. so i told her this thing has like cancer or something u know its messed up. she asked if it was for food or a pet so i told her food and hes like "so what do you care what it looks like if its going to get eatin" i was like wow... im not poisoning my snake. i looked where they kept the mice and i noticed a dead mouse in the corner alwready with maggots and stuff. so anyway i went an bought a pregnant mouse and another mouse, figure ill have some free food soon lol. fed him today, he was a little slow on noticing the mouse and following its traces then cought him in his hide.

    Re: cant belive it

thats so friggin crazy. same exact thing happend to me. i bought the mouse, went to my car, opend the box and he had a huge infection/scab on his rear leg. i brought it in and told him i wouldnt feed that to my snake. he simply agree'd and went to get another one. this one had a huge chunk of skin missing off his back! he looked at me and shrugged . he knew i wouldnt take it for i go there every monday for my food. they know i try and give my bp the upmost and best care ever. but def. good looking out. some people just dont understand.

That's why it's nice my pet store let's me go through the feeder tanks and get my own. Of course, I am buying 34 mice a week from them, so they'd rather I just get my own!

    Re: cant belive it

I don't feed my b/p live but my pet store does let me pick out my own feeder anoles for my lizard. They like me to get the ones w/o tails so they don't feel that bad about selling it to me. lol I would never pick a sick anole to feed to my lizard.

You are what you eat. And that aplies to herps aswell!
